The Lily Fields in the Spring
What joy to behold
The new scents, The breeze
How the ancient elms ring
With the sounds of their whispering
To one another.

I approach with so light a heart
Expecting to be greeted by
Something so amazing
So stark.

I receive.

Now, note that this isn't my favorite. I just like the part about the trees, whispering. When I was small I always thought that, as I passed through the woods, they were watching me. And whispering about me. I know, I know. I was a strange child. (Still am. Ha.)  Anyway, enjoy!

I really mean what I'm about to say (type?) You are an AMAZING poet. What grade are you in? You should have an agent or something, and publish a book of your poetry, or SOMETHING. I really mean it. Just do something so that everyone can see your amazing poetry. It's just plain beautiful. I wish I could write so well- I have to think forever to get a decent poem. I know this is a really long comment, sorry.

Wow, thanks, Lily! I really appreciate that. If you must know, I am between the 7th and 8th grades. :-) I want to be some sort of author when I grow up, though. Writing's my passion. You know, this newest poem I really didn't like that much, or see anything special about it until you said something. Also being an artist, I am extremely critical of myself. Despite that, I have been looking for a poetry contest around my area. Also, don't apologize for making long comments. :-) You're just fine.
Thanks so much!!

You're welcome! I find it amazing that you write a poem every day yet still make it so wonderful each time! Don't be critical- someone likes everything, which I found from some of my paper dolls. Some I don't like much, but others seem to. :)Good luck with paper dolls, keep writing!

Beautifull. Please keep writing. The trees whisper, of course they do. U hear it when the wind blow. Very descriptive writing. Like to write poems myself.
