Well, I have created my food blog, SIMPLY FOOD. On there, I'm Bethany. I have a friend who may join in administering and posting with me on the site, but she's in Cancun right now, so when she gets back I'll ask her what she'd like to do.  I've made a new poll at the bottom of the home page. The latest one, on Summer, I just took down. The most popular vote was Hanging with Friends, which by the way, ROCKS.

Secondly, turns out I am starting a food blog, with one of my very good friends. I'll let you guys know when the site's up and running. Thanks for being such faithful fans!

Oh, and I've started school, so I'm not sure if that will interfere with my blogging or not, but if I slack off, it's because I'm busy. :)

Well, I am huffing right now, because I am frustrated with the Short Stories page. I know it's lengthwise and all, and I'm going to try to fix it. I haven't been successful so far, though, so please pray I'll get it all working. :)  (By the way, Lily, thanks for the attempts at fixing it. I doubt I'll be able too, especially if you couldn't, but hey, try, try again.)

I am thinking about creating another blog, but with a different theme than Blue Jasmine. Maybe. . .food? I cook a lot. Or. . .maybe just a blog about my personal life. Or. . .art, maybe, but I really have no time for that. So maybe a food blog. Hmm. . names, anyone? How about. . .Simply Food. And then under it, in smaller letters: A blog about what is both necessary and trivial: FOOD! Or: Simplicity made into delightful dishes. Or. . .Well, suggest some more titles and slogans in the Comments section. (C'mon, it doesn't take that long!)

That sounds cool. I'd still update Blue Jasmine though, you can be sure of that! I may not even do a Food blog, but hey, it sounds intriguing.

It is bright and sunny once more in North Carolina! And hot, too- where I live it's 93 degrees at ten in the morning, and awfully humid. It's like someone has wrapped a big, fluffy coat around you when you walk out the door.

Well, most of my friends in the neighborhood are away, or at the pool, so I don't have much to do. My mother just had surgery, so I can care for her, but she doesn't need me 24/7, so if anyone has any really good, crafty or fun ideas, I'd love it if you could email me. ([email protected])

In fact, let's make it into a contest. Whoever can email in three great ideas by the end of the month can choose the theme for Blue Jasmine next month. Email me for details.


We're still fostering the kittens. They're so cute and fluffy. ;)

I have a newfound love for my Nook! It's an E-reader, and I stayed up last night until very, very late reading unabridged Emily Dickinson and enjoying it so much. I love poetry.

By the way, I'm going back to back to the UK in 2013. We would go next year, but since the Olympics are there next year airplane tickets would be even higher than they already are. We're going to go to Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and maybe some of the north of England. I'm really looking forward to it. I love to travel.

The other day, me and my best friend in the whole wide world hung out at my place. We washed the cars while plugging the radio in outside, and dancing around, spraying each other, screaming a whole lot and having an amazing time. If you're reading this, Em, I love ya sistah!

Hiiiiii. I'm really excited. There is finally a story up on the YOUR PAGE page. pinkeyeshadowlover sent it in. It's great, check it out! (It kind of goes with the theme . .  . . lol)

Yes, well, as you may have noticed, I did change the theme. The last one was. . .temporary. This time, I did a kind of chilly, cold, rainy theme, because it's so hot outside I figured we all needed a good soaking. This theme should stick around for a little longer. I like it.

My art studio is finally finished! It's amazing, and wonderful, and stocked with supplies I'm just itching to use, and Mom, if you're reading this, thanks so much! You're the bestest!

Well, it stormed on the fourth, so no fireworks. :( I was sad. But all of the fireworks in North Carolina are really. . .not good. All we have are little fountains, because it's illegal to shoot things into the sky without a commercial license, because of all the trees. My dad's cousin gave us fireworks when we visited them, and they live in another state, and in that particular state it's not illegal to shoot things into the sky. Anyway, she owned a fireworks stand, and gave us a bunch of amazing fireworks to bring back here.

But lo and behold, you can't ship or fly fireworks! And if you drive back by car (which we didn't; we flew) there is a good chance of getting arrested if a policeman finds them.  So they're still back in another state. We're going to see if we can get them for New Years.


We're still fostering kittens. I'll try to post pictures later.

Update on my life: We're still fostering the kittens, there were so many people at the Adopt-a-thon, and pets and all. . . We'll go to another one soon.

I got my room redone; I'm thrilled! Hot pink, lime and black. The rug is so SO FLUFFY. My friend came over and we just layed face-down on the rug for, like, twenty minutes. ;)

SPEAKING of this friend, well, we have an idea. I can't tell you all what it is exactly yet, but I will say that I am working on another site. Don't worry, I'll still have this one. My friend and me have decided to collaborate on it, and the design we tried is wonderful. It should be out in a month or two. It's got a whole new theme, a whole new idea. It should be great.

We also got a new Wii. It's black. Our old one was white and we got it when it first came out, so there was no MotionSensor Plus or anything like that. Plus, it had a problem. Our new Wii came with MarioKart and a black steering wheel for it. It's pretty awesome. And now, I'm addicted to MarioKart. I play it every day with my brother. . . .I know, I know. It's pretty awesome though. And isn't Baby Peach just adorable?

  I am here to apologize. My computer had a terrible virus until my daddy fixed it tonight, so I have not been able to update and for that I am sorry.

Thanks peoples!!! I will continue updating now that the bestest daddy ever made my computer all better.   :)

By the way, I've scanned some artwork. (I forgot to mention that in my previous apology post.) It should be up soon. I know I am waaaaay overtime on getting artwork up, so sorry. I think I will post my most recent success sketch. I'll give you a hint: Her name is Alondra.
